What is the dress code for the wedding day?

We would love to see our family and friends dressed up with us! The attire for the day will be semi-formal. We would like to encourage lighter spring colors and florals. Ladies should wear chunky heels or wedges ideal for walking in grass and pebble pathways. Both the ceremony and reception will be held outside.

Can I bring a guest or +1?

We are hosting a small celebration with our closest friends and family. That being said, we are only able to accommodate guests named on your formal wedding invitation. We ask that our guests do not bring a plus one unless specified on their invitation.

Will the venue have parking?

The venue will have ample parking in a gravel lot onsite with attendants to direct guests. We encourage guests to have a designated driver or consider Uber or Lyft as a backup (and schedule your ride ahead of time). If needed, guests may leave their vehicles overnight but must promptly remove their car before 9 AM.

Are children invited?

We love your little ones but we have decided to keep our ceremony and reception a 21+ event. We hope you understand and consider this evening as a date night!

What is the Welcome Party?

We'd love to welcome all of our guests the night before our wedding with an informal dinner and beers! There will be a rehearsal held first, followed by food & drinks. Just the first round of beer is on us this night, but guests can continue to order drinks on their own if they'd like.

How do I get to the Welcome Party?

The night before will be held at The Barrel Room at Ardent, located at 3117 W Moore St, Richmond, VA 23230. This is a private event space separate from the brewery. This neighborhood is almost all street parking and does get busy, so we suggest arriving early and carpooling with others or taking an Uber/Lyft.

Will there be an open bar at the reception?

Of course.
